Frequently Asked Questions
Is it ok to bring my child to church?
Absolutely!!! Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14). We welcome all of our children in church. If you however would prefer nursery care is available for birth – 5 year olds.
What is available on Sunday mornings for my child?
We have Sunday school from 9:45 AM -10:45 AM on Sunday mornings. We have also begun a new program, Kid's View (Church from a kid's view) during our 11:00 AM service which features worship, puppets, games, and more.
What is rotational Sunday School?
We offer rotational Sunday School for our elementary age classes. Rotational Sunday school focuses on one Bible message for 3-5 weeks. During this time the children experience this teaching through various forms: art, science, video, drama, storytelling, computer, cooking, games. This method allows them to learn and retain this important Biblical foundation in a way that is best suited to them.
If my child is in AK or was in AK which class should they be in?
If your child is in AK they can join the kindergarten class in Journeyland (on 3rd floor) or join the 4 year olds in room 205. Once your child enters kindergarten they will either need to spend one more year in the kindergarten class so they will be with the children they go to school with, or join their class moving on to 1st grade.
What's Powerhouse all about?
Powerhouse is our Wednesday evening program where we all "get connected" to Christ through games, large & small group activities, crafts and more! The nursery is in Room 205, and K-5 are on the 3rd floor in Rooms 301-305.
